Higher Guidance for the Aquarius New Moon

What kind of change do you wish to see in the world? Embody that.

Take it easy on yourself. Integrating change can be exhausting (and thrilling!). Trust that it's all working out.
 

The Taoism story of the frog at the bottom of the well:

Once there was a frog happily living in its favorite place, the water. Large stones surrounded the water on all sides. In his shallow well, he was protected and content. He loved where he lived; it was paradise to him. He blissfully chomped on as many bugs as he liked, sat in the perfect depth of water, not too high or too low. He was lord of the water, and he was well-satisfied.

One day a turtle happened to see the frog in the shallow well and gave him his greetings. 

The frog, seeing the turtle’s interest, boasted of his home and how he is lord of the perfect place to live, and invited the turtle to come in. The turtle, however, was too big and got stuck trying to fit his large body in the well. The turtle eventually abandoned the idea of visiting the frog down below and instead was inspired to tell the frog about the wonders of the nearby sea. He told the frog all about the vastness of the ocean, how when it rained, the level of the water seemed to stay the same. Storms and droughts made no difference. And gazing at the horizon, the water seemed to go on forever.

The frog became very embarrassed as he realized his happy, small world was only a very tiny part of the whole planet, and he had never ventured outside of his little paradise. So content was he to stay in his little home on the water and look up at the little circle of sky the well gave him, he never thought there could be more.

Aquarian energy from this new moon reminds us to look beyond our immediate circumstances and to look at the greater unfolding. 

Who do we want to be in the future? Who do we want to be now? This lunar cycle asks us to consider, What kind of world do we really want to live in? And, What can we do to create the kind of world we wish we could live in, now?

For many of us, we have been all too satisfied to live in a rather narrow-focused, limited kind of point of view. The “I’m right, they’re wrong” paradigm. Or “How can I make a difference in the greater scheme of things, being only one?”

Our actions that we take now have ripples that affect not only us, but future generations--lives yet to be lived. Like the turtle choosing to have the conversation with the frog about the delights of the outside world, we never know how much we can change someone’s reality. 

We have so much to live for, so much available to us. It can be overwhelming at times to know what to do with this energy of potential and change. So we huddle back into what we know, our safe homes of comfort and ordinariness.

But life has taught us that nothing is really ordinary. Everything can change in the blink of an eye.

And we must change with it. In fact, we can’t help but change. 

This New Moon, we are being encouraged to look beyond the familiar into life’s potential. 

We are being encouraged to leap into the kind of lives we’ve always imagined we could live. To embody the change we most wish to see.

We don’t need to wait forever to do so.

We can start today. Right now, with one intentional breath. 

What kind of energy would you like the world to experience more of?

Bring that energy in to your body, your field, and your very being. Root down and know that with every breath you take, you are changing the world. So be aware of the kind of world you want to live in, the kind of world we are creating (each of us) with every breath we take.

You have the power to change the world. Be the visionary and the maker, the explorer and the creator. You can be the change you wish to see.

You can chart a new course for the world to experience the kind of reality you’ve always wished we could all enjoy, starting now.
