Higher Guidance Reading on Forgiveness
How to set yourself free
Forgiveness is the art of letting go, of making space for what is, instead of clinging to what used to be. It is the gift you can give yourself to experience true peace. As a mentor once told me, it is the gift of absolute freedom.
Opening up our energy fields and our lives to the energy of forgiveness can free up a lot of “emotional baggage” weighing us down, especially things that were uncovered last year during that year of trial.
We here know that to be human requires some level of bravery and acceptance.
It takes both to be able to forgive truly so that we can firmly put our past years of hardship behind us. Not so that they can be erased or forgotten—but so that we are not re-living those past pains, experiences, and mishaps as if they were happening now.
Capricorn’s new moon asks us to soften whatever hard-headedness we may have about “being right,” and instead choose to let things go, as if we are watching rocks slowly dissolve under a waterfall through time. In letting go, we are freeing ourselves to have new space in our lives for possibilities, miracles, and a higher way of being.
This continues to be an intense time of “leveling-up” for humanity. The energy of letting go is helpful for others to be willing, eventually, to dissolve their own blockages toward living more fulfilling and aligned lives.
As it is the new year, beginning this new moon with an affirmation or intention for what you would like to experience in 2021 can be a doubly powerful way to receive what you truly desire. Listen to your heart on what it yearns for, write it down on a slip of paper, and hang it somewhere you will see it often, perhaps above your desk or by a mirror.
Trust that when you bring the energy of your intentions to benevolent forces outside yourself, your intentions will come true in some way. So, too, must we be careful and discerning about our true intentions.
For example, if your intention is a wish for more light for yourself or others, that is what you will receive. Wishing more darkness upon others will often lead to a tripling down of darkness for yourself.
That is why the energy of forgiveness is called for. Remember that old adage, Staying angry at someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die?
What or who are you being called to forgive in your field? Who or what comes to mind when you feel the most angry, distraught or downtrodden?
Forgive and set yourself free from this heavy bond. For anger creates a crippling bond of righteousness and heaviness overtime for yourself. Open up to the possibility of a new reality, where anger and fear are no longer the dominant heavy presences of your life.
Forgive and set yourself free. Let this new era of your life begin, unburdened by the past.
